Norwegian Sea Scouting will be holding a national Sea Scouting jamboree. Some would like to see Sea Scouting as a separate organization.&lt;br /&gt; • Warington Baden-Powell was 11 older than Robert Baden-Powell&lt;br /&gt; • “Never say die until you’re dead” – R B-P&lt;br /&gt; • May 1906 – R B-P made a proposal for Scouting to the army&lt;br /&gt; • 1907 – Brownsea Scouting experiment&lt;br /&gt; • March 1908 – “Scouting for Boy” published in fortnightly installments&lt;br /&gt; • 2/3/1847 – Warington was born (note spelling)&lt;br /&gt; • 1857-61 – Studied at St. Paul’s in London&lt;br /&gt; • 1861-64 – Warington joined the H.M.S. • The Ambassador program was developed in November 2006&lt;br /&gt; • A survey of Sea Scouting in Europe was done in December 2007&lt;br /&gt; • WWDOWDOIB – “What we do ourselves we do it better”&lt;br /&gt; • Purpose – To create a semi-formal network of Sea Scouting around Europe&lt;br /&gt; • Who – A recognized person in Sea Scouting in their respective NSO with authority with communication skills in English and has internet access&lt;br /&gt; The first Sea Scout Commissioner was living in my home town of Malahide, North County Dublin. His name was Lieut. Henry J. Rundle, RN. He was an officer in the Royal Navy and was attached to the Coastguard Station, Malahide. I have attached a photograph of what Irish Sea Scouts looked like in 1914. This is the 2nd Port of Dublin, Clontarf. Proud winners of the Wood Latimer trophy. An absolute beauty spot for keen hikers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Part of the programme will be a day trip away from the site to Dublin City. We are calling this 'Dublin Day' .
